heavy candy 2009

I had the idea to make a three dimensional version of my Pop Art series Candy Land. I made a bronze sculpture of my interpretation of a jelly mouse, a popular choice of candy by my children. I make them patinated in white and add several layers of oil paint and finish off with varnish. The four colours are made in numbered editions of ten.

The Spring Salon at Liljevalchs Art Gallery in Stockholm is a major event and in 2009 I was thrilled to have been selected by the jury (consisting of the 5 best local gallerists) as one of 168 participants out of 1800 applicants.
